assisting mayor’s office to reach the most needy children in the city

Greetings and love in Christ from all of us here at Lumina!

We held a day event, with a programme running from 9:00 to 22:00 at a large school in Balti as well as in the city’s main square. We were blessed with open doors to encourage and speak with over 600 children and some parents.

We feel privileged that the Mayor and city authorities have now officially recognised the work our charity does and we now publically feature on the Mayor Office’s page as an organisation with whome they collaborate to provide support to citizens. A big thanks to all of you who have stood with us to make this a reality.

We recently had the opportunity to offer some more practical help to our elderly folk. We were able to share out some nice second-hand clothes, bedsheets and shoes among them. We have also been carrying out some voluntary manual labour in the streets of the city and surrounding villages. We have had positive responses from residents in these areas, and we always find this very encouraging.

Moldova is not going through an easy period. Officially, about 160 people are leaving the country every single day. These statistics can be discouraging but we keep praying that the Lord would bless the land of Moldova, comfort the nation and bless our crops!!
